So we all know loafers/ slippers are the biggest shoe trend and have been for a while! When I think of loafers, the first brand that comes to mind is the amazing Gucci – Gucci does the most beautiful and classic loafer that is all over the internet.
When it comes to loafers many tend to stay away from them because they may seem “old” or not their type of style, but I’m here to change all that and show you how loafers can go with anything and everything.
If you’re not a fan of the loafer trend, don’t give up on it just yet! Have a browse on fashion websites like Pinterest or check out Vogue street style for that loafer inspo. When there’s a new fashion trend I’m not too sure of, I do my research and find some outfits with blogger’s or celebrities wearing the trend – you can change your mind on anything.

If you’re still not 100% sold on this trend, I have planned four outfits on loafer and slippers – two outfits for something simple to ease your way into the trend and two outfits that are out-there and fun for those loafer lovers who want to take the next step.
This first outfit is the introduction to wearing loafers – it can be scary wearing something you’re not familiar with so with this outfit I made sure it was as simple as possible. I paired these beautiful Gucci loafers with some classic black trousers and a white tee. To add a bit of colour I also added a statement bag to bring more colour into the outfit instead of keeping it monochromatic.
Slippers are another good alternative for people who aren’t a fan of loafers. They’re so easy to thrown on and can go with anything. When it comes to finding a pair of loafers/slippers it’s good to start with a solid colour that will go with everything – for me the perfect solid colour is black because black goes with anything. I paired these black slippers with a black slip dress with a tee underneath, it’s perfect for an edgy/chilled vibe. Also when wearing a monochromatic outfit, either go for a statement bag or statement shoes. To add more edge to this outfit (or any outfit) pair loafers/slippers with some fishnet socks.
This outfit is for those who have taken the next step with loafers/ slippers and want to add a pop of colour into an outfit. I wanted to keep this outfit a bit simple but give it a “model off duty” vibe. I paired it with some classic black jeans and a printed white tee and I thought these Gucci slippers would take the outfit to another level – which it did. At first finding a bag for this outfit was a bit frustrating, but then I came across this beautiful J.W Anderson bag and thought it would perfectly finish off the look. If you’re someone who likes to keep an outfit neat but also wanting to wear pop of colours and statement pieces, I always recommend finding a bag/accessory that is/has the same colour as the shoes. The gold in the bag compliment the gold in the shoes and don’t overpower the outfit and still kept the shoes being a statement. Don’t be afraid to wear both statement bags and shoes.
This last outfit is again for those wanting to take loafers to the next level. Gucci loafers are everywhere and so many outfits with them are styled very simple – so when it came to styling this outfit I wanted to make it classy and chic. I took these gold loafers and paired it with a light blue off the shoulder top and a classic black skirt. I’m currently obsessing over the whole oversized sleeves trend, especially with a cute little skirt. When I came across this bag I thought it was perfect because the gold on the bag matches perfectly with the gold shoes. I didn’t want to take this outfit to OTT (over the top) and add more of a statement bag but then I decided I wanted to keep the shoes the statement piece.
