FASHION WEEK: LONDON & MILAN A/W 18/19

Hello lovely people and welcome back to my blog!

Before I get into this post I just wanted to apologise for the lack of blog posts at the moment – my blog hasn’t been my number 1 priority, due to life BUT I’m back now and ready to get on track.

Fashion month is officially over  so I thought it would be time to share my thoughts, as always. To make it easier I’ve mashed together London and Milan so Paris can be one huge one.

LONDON

J.W ANDERSON

I actually loved this collection, it was perfect for A/W and everything was so tasteful.

MOTHER OF PEARL

I actually fell in love with the collection instantly. If you’re a regular reader of my posts you’d know I love oversized pieces as well as different cuts and I feel like this collection nailed it.

EMILIA WICKSTEAD

Was I in love with the collection? No, but I did really enjoy it. The main thing that stood out for me was the cuts/styles.

BURBERRY

As this was Christoper Bailey’s last show with Burberry, it’s safe to say he nailed it.

DAVID KOMA

David Koma is one of those designers who are constantly coming out with wearable collections, which I love. Not saying other designers need to have more “wearable” pieces, but looking at this collection, everything Koma put together was stunning.

ERDEM

I personally think there has been better Erdem collections but I still liked this one.

CHRISTOPHER KANE

Christopher Kane is such a beautiful designer and always hard to fault. Was such a big fan of all the cuts in this collection.

MILAN

MOSCHINO

Jeremy Scott really doesn’t change, especially not for Moschino – I’m not surprised or blown away with the collection but I’m in love with all of the colours.

GUCCI

Let’s get serious with Gucci; since Alessandro has taken over, Gucci has gone off. Every piece in this collection has a meaning and is all placed together for a reason. For me, what Alessandro displays in his shows is “fashion”. It’s artistic, fun and straight to the point. It’s not meant to be “pretty”, you’re meant to dissect every look and admire all the hard work that’s been put into every garment.

GIORGIO ARMANI

Beautiful collection.

ANTONIO BERARDI

I’m actually in love with this collection; from the cuts to the colours, every piece is stunning.

FENDI

Fendi never disappoints, my favourite thing about this collection was the colour pallet.

ALBERTA FERRETTI

Beautiful collection – the all black outfit is going to be me this winter.

VERSACE

I’ve seen better Versace collections but loved the styling!

I’m so sorry this post is late, my Paris one will be up by the end of the week and then my posts should be back to normal.

I would love to know your thoughts on London and Milan FW? Favourite collection?

  1. I totally enjoyed reading this post and I love how you described each design. Gucci is definitely my favorite because it wasn’t basic, like you said every piece is dissected individually.
