Hello lovely people and welcome back to my blog!
As you can see from the title, it’s all about Paris FW! Every time fashion month returns I get so excited for the Paris shows because it’s more of the designers like, Dior, Chanel, Givenchy; not saying smaller designers can’t put on a show, but Paris is just the biggest week.
If I’m being completely honest, I wasn’t blown away with any collection – some were just stunning and some were expected? But enough of my rambling, here are my favourite collections and my thoughts on them.
Stella really has her own style and it’s always obvious throughout her collections, which I love. I love her coats and think they’re always a statement piece.
I actually loved this collection; I loved the oversized pieces and the beautiful colours. When I think winter I think of red and green, which is shown throughout the collection.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, ELIE SAAB IS FAULTLESS. There hasn’t be a collection I didn’t love.
Sometimes Givenchy can be a bit of a hit and miss for me but I did enjoy this collection. I loved the coats.
This was such a soft collection for A/W and it was beautiful. We’re seeing a lot of pale colours as well as some dark “winter” colours. I’m loving the pink and red combo!
I’m not normally the biggest Balmain fan because all the collections are the same, but this one was beautiful! It’s nice to see a more creative side to Olivier, something more wearable to those who aren’t Kim Kardashian or a Victoria Secrets model.
Wasn’t in love with the collection, but didn’t hate it. I did like the colours used, like khaki and burgundy.
Nina Ricci is also like an Elie Saab, every collection I have seen so far has been stunning.
Off-White really isn’t my style, well so I thought. This collection had something for everyone while still keeping it “Off-White”. I can already tell it’s going to be the Gucci of 2018.
I loved how wearable this collection is and the colours – you’ve got the softer colours along with the darker colours.
I really liked this collection; I was mainly blown away by the styling but it felt very powerful, in a weird way.
We all know I’m such a big Chanel lover and yes this collection was stunning but I wouldn’t say it was my favourite. Karl did an amazing job and kept it as Chanel as possible but I felt like is needed something else. The warm tones used were actually perfect though and the show itself was stunning.
As always, I love hearing your thoughts on fashion week! What collection was your favourite?
